JCPOA beginning of new chapter in Iran’s intl. relations

TEHRAN, Jan. 27 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM underlined that JCPOA implementation would mark a new chapter in Iran's relations with other countries, especially India.

Speaking at the 67th anniversary of the Constitution of India in Indian Embassy here on January 26, Abbas Araghchi congratulated the Indian government on the occasion and wished for health, success and prosperity of the people of India.

Calling Indians real friends of Iranian nation, Araghchi said they were alongside us during hardships and difficult situations; “A friend in need, is a friend indeed,” he added.

Noting that the development of relations between Iran and India bears countless benefits for both sides, Araghchi said the two countries seek for expansion of bilateral relations in different fields, including road transit.

India has already been involved in Iran's economy, particularly in the energy sector, Araghchi said. "Cooperation between Iran and India is of close historical nature enjoying a strong civilization.“

Pointing to the Port of Chabahar as the symbol of cooperation between Iran and India, Iranian senior diplomat expressed hope bilateral relations between the two countries will further improve in future.
